Upcoming Events:

Acitivities vary from month to month.  Members choose the activities that will work for their families.  A monthly newsletter is emailed or mailed to each member with each month's schedule.  Children are expected at all MOMS Club events with the exception of the monthly MOMS Night Out and a bi-annual couples' night out, though they are welcome to attend those if necessary.  Following are the types of activities that we do:

Typical Monthly Activities:

MONTHLY MEETINGS:  Monthly meetings are open to all current and prospective members.  Each month the member moms meet at a park, library community room, member's home, or other fun location.  We discuss upcoming events, share ideas for next month, and often have speakers share about topics relative to at-home moms.  In the past we have visited with the police department about child safety, held a Valentine Party, and participated in family music making.  Planned events include a tour of Pet Expo, a Shamrock Party, and other fun stuff!

PARK PLAYS: While the weather is nice, we meet often at area parks to let the kids play and the moms hang out.  We schedule these at various times of the day and in various parts of town.

COFFEE CHATS:  These are events hosted by members at their houses.  Members bring their favorite beverage and enjoy some quality conversation while the kids play.  Some of these may require an RSVP if space is limited.

PLAY DATES:  These are play dates that may have a theme.  In the past members have enjoyed a camping theme and a painting party.

PARTIES:  These happen at various times throughout the year.  We have an annual Fall Costume Party as well as a Grandma's Lunch and other parties.

MOMS Night Out:  Once per month, we get together in the evening without the kids and let out hair down.  Past locations have included restaurants, members homes, and a boat cruise on Lake Washington.  If need be, children may attend with moms.  We don't want anybody to stay away dure to lack of child care.

COUPLE'S / FAMILY NIGHT OUT:  Once or twice a year we get together in the evening as couples to get to know some of the husbands.  We've also scheduled picnics in the past where the whole family attends.  As on MOMS Night Out, children are welcome to attend if necessary.

FIELD TRIPS:  Past trips have included the Minnesota Zoo, the children's Museum, the Fairmont Aquatic Center, the Mall of America, Happy Joe's in New Ulm, and Emma Crumbees.

COMMUNITY EVENTS:  We often take advantage of library story times, concerts and other free events in the community.

BREAKFAST CLUB:  Members have met for a breakfast date in the past. Watch the newsletter for future locales.
