Why MOMS Club?
You may need the MOMS Club if...
- Some days, your main adult contact is talking to telemarketers
- You know the entire PBS schedule from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Spicing up a meal means adding chunks of hot dogs to the mac & cheese
- Your career wear consists of jeans and sweats
- You begin adding "-ie" to the end of every word. For example "lunch-ie, napp-ie, book-ie, lovey"
On a more serious note, at-home parenting is a challenging, full time commitment. Moms who make the choice to stay home with their children sometimes face isolation, as many of their established friends may not be available during the day. MOMS Club provides a great social network of other mothers who understand both the challenges and joys of at-home parenting.
Goals
- To provide a support group for mothers who choose to stay at home to raise their children
- To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers
- To help children in the community
- To perform at least one service project yearly helping needy children
Principles
- That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment
- That for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full time job
- That a family's decision for one parent to stay home and raise their children often involves considerable financial sacrifice
- That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way
